Corfinsura Financial Portal

Customer Documentation Management System for Banco de Credito

Implementation of a documentation management system for customers that makes possible the handling of all customer documents and query their workflows. The application provides for the administration of Income Statements, Income Certificates and Retention Certificates, Balances, Incorporation Certificates among others. The system features cover the areas of credit control and credit analysis and is integrated with the bank’s operations systems.

 

Risk Management System for Derivative Products

This system calculates the risk associated with the derivative products portfolio and controls the limits that were defined on them. Risk measurement takes into consideration: Investments, Takings, Swaps, Forwards, Options and Cash related with the coverage of forwards and currency options.

The system allows the rapid visualization of the valuation of risks associated with the portfolio through a centralized control panel. The application also supports the simulation of valuation scenarios for different products in the portfolio as well as the ability to quote them.

 

Information System for Environmental and Social Management

This system makes possible the observation in real time of multinational credit operations of the CAF from an environmental and social management perspective. This tool allows executives of the Environmental Services Department to monitor compliance with environmental requirements in an efficient manner. These requirements are typically placed on borrowers that got their loans from the corporation. The solution also incorporates a set of management reports that enables the online evaluation of the performance of personnel in charge of social and environmental management. Additionally he (SIGAS) system is fully integrated with applications that support the operations of the corporation like the Data mart and the Document Management System thus facilitating the interaction with other areas of the organization and making the jobs of the staff easier within the Department.

 

Contacts System

The Contacts System is a solution that manages the information of all those people and entities that the Corporation maintains communications with. This solution allows for a standard corporate perspective over all contacts while enabling each of the areas of the CAF to manage their own perspective of this information according to their own needs.
“Contacts” implements a centralized model of the information that is accessible from any system that is architected to consume Web Services, for example web applications, email clients or any other Web Services enabled application. 

 

Credit Risk Management System - SARC

The implementation of the Credit Risk Management System (SARC) involved the concretion of many smaller achievements. It was necessary to develop and automate the mechanisms for measuring credit risk of customers through the analysis of standardized sets of information. It was also required to automatically be able to rank customers according to risk categories and establish exposure policies (credit limits), allowance policies (amounts, terms, warranties, rates, etc.), enforcement policies (early alert schemes) and provision policies among others. The end result was the recommendation of granting of credit based on credit rating. The entire information set the system accessed is centrally managed and implements many interfaces for financial data capture and methods for exposure based on observed delinquency or the possibility of a breach as well as mechanisms for the management of customers that go bankrupt.

 

 

Credit Risk Information System - SIRC

Analysis, design and implementation of an application to carry out the credit risk evaluation of customers with regards to the company portfolio, establishing preventive measures that address the different risk models that the company can assume. This application also maintains the rating criteria and qualification models and generates data that feeds them from and to external systems.

 

Special Services Administration Automation

Implementation of a workflow engine that supports Special Administrative Services (ATMs at the customer premises, currency transportation, forms retrieval, among others). This facility allows for each service the operative and financial evaluation based on real costs and on balances and transactions by the requestor as well as the input of many alternatives proposed by the customer to evaluate if the service is viable.

 

Electronic Document Management CONAVI

Implementation of an online Document Management Solution for the bank. The solution covers processes from the digitalization and indexation of documents to their storage and eventually their recovery. The new solution allows bank personnel to access at any point in time and from virtually anywhere documents in digital format that enable different bank processes. This document portal was implemented over the Microsoft Sharepoint Portal Server.

 

Automatic Credit Project COMFAMA


Analysis design and implementation of the new Automatic Credit System of the “Caja de Compensacion Familiar de Antioquia” - Cofama. The system lets Cofama customers have access to automatic credit at any of its facilities. Customers can thus perform queries on the available credit, request a certificate of fully discharged of obligations, certificates of debt, authorizations among other credit related requests and all in real time. As far as the technical architecture it is important to emphasize that this project implemented an online integration with a major Cofama system (clearpath from Unisys) using Biztalk Server.

Implementation of a new Internet site for “Suramericana de Seguros S.A.” (www.suramericana.com ). This site relevant information to visitors and online services for customers or insurance consultants.

 

eProcurement System for Auto Parts

E-Procurement system that takes the procurement process online from the request of quotes from suppliers to their purchase coordinating the participation of many parties like parts suppliers and repair shops through the Internet. This project has allowed Colseguros to provide a faster service to its customers while providing a very relevant service in a time of crisis and reducing cost in the procurement of parts and services.

 

National Consignation System - ISA

Analysis, design and implementation of a new versión of the National Consignment System for the “Centro Nacional de Despacho de Interconexion Electrica S.A.” (national electrical utility) on the .NET platform. This system controls the scheduling of maintenance for the components that make up the national transport system and generators.
 

 

Prepayment Datamart

This business intelligence solution is used to analyze the usage trends and profits margins generated by the Orbitel prepaid calling card platform. This type of analysis involves the use of geographical variables along with technical information and different criteria for the different prepaid products. The solution involves the compilation of the data, the processing and the reporting on the resulting statistics in a way that is relevant to the prepaid calling card business.

It is important to point out that special design considerations were observed in order to accommodate the huge data sets that are created by the calling card platform and at the same time provide an adequate response time for end users.

 

Service Portfolio Simulator

This is a product simulator that makes it possible to create, configure select and modify products and services. The simulator is available to Orbitel’s sales force and channel partners from the Internet. Through the simulator Orbitel can dynamically deploy its great service offering and present it to end customers as a generalized pricing engine so that end users can obtain in real time a quotation that is customized to their needs and budget.

 

VirtualExito

Implementation of a virtual grocery store for “almacenes éxito” (www.virtualexito.com). This storefront is a complete ecommerce solution for customers of the grocery giant to purchase its products online through the Internet site.

 

Almacenes Éxito Loyalty Program System

Analysis, design and implementation of customer and employee loyalty systems for the grocery merchant “Almacenes Éxito”. This project delivered among others the “éxito” loyalty points system, the employee discount system, the customer campaign management system and other loyalty initiatives for the retail chain.

 

Traceability of Bathroom Porcelain Products

This application was designed with the objective of tracking controlling and analyzing the productivity in the bathroom porcelain business. It was necessary to find out how many parts presented excellent qualities in craftsmanship versus how many presented defects and at what points during the production life cycle the defects presented themselves.

InterGrupo carried out a project within the framework of an agreement between Colceramica and the SENA to provide its factory operators with handheld terminals that allow the scanning of data from the parts that pass through each of the assembly sub processes in real time; detecting the problematic steps in the production process associated with breakages and providing a wealth of information on the productivity of factory operators. Additionally reports are generated that provide real time data on the production lifecycle (what processes are in the peak of execution and which are at a low point as well as tracking information for any one part during its lifecycle in the factory.

 

Balanced Scorecard

The Microsoft Business Scorecard accelerator was implemented in the financial planning area of 3M Colombia in order to provide key metrics within the organization and to follow performance in relation to 3M objectives in Finance, Customer Service, Internal Processes and Learning. Strategic maps and scorecards were used to improve decision making at the directorate level. The new system provides fast and easy publication of results in a web environment making use of Microsoft SQL Reporting Services.

 

 

Methodology and Architecture Consulting at Imbanaco

Taking the Rational Unified Process (RUP) as a baseline InterGrupo focused its consulting services offering for Imbanaco in: Improving the software production process with the introduction of best practices in software development, Tool selection and adoption, Evaluation of new technologies and standards, Ensuring the success of development projects, Modeling with UML and Guidelines for the architecture of Enterprise Applications.

 

Corporate Intranet (Banco de Occidente)

A workflow engine was designed for the automation of credit request and vacation request processing.

 

Fundación Social – Windows and Exchange Migration

The design of the migration and implementation of the first Windows Server 2003 and Exchange 2003 Server was carried out including a migration from Domino and network services and the consolidation of Windows and Exchange servers. The project generated considerable operations savings to the company since the infrastructure administration was greatly optimized with the use of policies based on Microsoft’s Active Directory.

 

Almacenes Éxito – Security Assessment and Design

Analysis and design of a secure environment for server platforms as well as desktops. The consulting engagement comprised the gathering of requirements, a risk assessment on security policies, infrastructure security and the administration of security configurations. The project allowed for the implementation of a methodology based process that helped Almacenes Éxito strengthen the security of their windows platform.

ECOPETROL – Windows and Network Services Migration / Server Consolidation


Migration from an NT4.0 environment based on domains to a Windows 2000 Server environment with Active Directory and Network Services, Server consolidation ad design of an Exchange 2000 Server solution. The project had a national scope and the solution involved the deployment of Windows Server and Active Directory for a population of over 6200 users. Once the server consolidation portion of the project was completed the number of domain controllers was significantly reduced and all network services were consolidated in two servers running on a high availability configuration.

Multienlace – Windows 2003 Migration

Analysis and design of a migration strategy from Windows NT and Windows 2000 operating systems to Windows 2003. The project involved the consolidation of network services, design of an active directory structure, design of new Windows 2003 services, definition of new operating system policies and the development of a lab environment to validate all these changes. Knowledge transfer was a big part of the focus of the engagement and this ensured an efficient resource allocation for administration and a greater consolidation of the Windows platform.

Hermeco’s technological renovation project involved the implementation of a centralized business accounting software based on Great Plains and integrated with our point of sale solution called “Kajero” which was developed entirely on Microsoft components. This platform gave the customer a solid platform to maintain a leading position in the local market while dynamically pursuing international opportunities.

 

 

The project consists in implementing a full transactional portal (www.valoresbancolombia.com), which provides to customers of  "Valores Bancolombia" tools for monitoring of their investments and provides, in conjunction with the sales force, support the decisions investment.
